Physical Activity Reduces Depression among Healthcare Workers during the COVID-19 Pandemic in Jordan

Aims: This study aimed to assess mental health status by measuring depression and investigating the effect of physical activity in lessening burden among HCWs during COVID-19 pandemic Jordan. Background: The has caused distress healthcare workers drastic disruptions social, economic, systems worldwide. Methods: A cross-sectional online through google forms involved across Jordan for two months. 10-item short form Center Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale Revised (CESD-R10) was used depressive symptoms. Results: total sample 295, females were 50.5% with mean age 33.1 (>80% less than 40 years old), married 51.9%, 63% physicians, 88.1% had contact patients, 64.7% smokers. symptoms perceived 59.3% samples (53.1). Conclusion: During COVID-19-induced nationwide lockdown Jordan, who engaged enough exercise reported fewer Promoting may lead better results their health.
